YetepKorean producer Dabin was MIA in 2018 until now. Earlier this week he released the EP Pyres and let listeners in on what he’s been working on. If you’re anything like me, you have no idea what Pyres means and had to look up the definition. Pyres is defined as, “a heap of combustible material.” This is the perfect way to describe the EP because it’s lit! The two-track EP is packed with melodic drums and mesmerizing melodies. It can be compared to Odesza but with more bass. Dabin held nothing back as he gets personal with the songs “Lights” and “In Flames.” The only way Pyres could be even better would be if it was a few tracks longer.
Dabin debuted in March 2012 with the EP Electropolitics. The EP quickly made its way up the Beatport charts, giving Dabin a chance to be in the spotlight. Since 2012, Dabin has seen his songs remixed by legends like Kai Wachi and Apashe. The Korean Producer has also teamed up with the mastermind trio Black Tiger Sex Machine numerous times to release some straight bangers. Dabin is becoming a more common name in dance music today. If you are looking for an EP that can set the dancefloor on fire, make sure to check out Pyres today.
