YetepThere’s no point in denying the feelings of suspense leading up to the 2018 edition of Phoenix Lights. The festival is just a few days away and every artist involved is gearing up for one of the most memorable weekends in Arizona history. Last week DJ and producer Will Clarke dropped the surprise house banger, “No No No,” released on SOLA.
Appearing on the Sola Miami 2018 compilation, “No No No” borrows mainstays from traditional house while keeping Will Clarke’s brand of zany, offbeat sounds intact. As the steady backbeat moves into a blur of synth and avant-garde noise, “No No No” begins to transform itself into a jungle frenzy.
As the track reaches its last two minutes, a cymbal slides into the mix with one final romp highlighting the backbeat and the present vocalizations. As a compilation track, “No No No” gives off Deconstruction era vibes while retaining its modern structure, contrasting the rise of progressive house. There’s no question this hybrid house banger will get bottoms moving in a festival environment, like Phoenix Lights where Will Clarke will be performing this weekend! Grab tickets here.
