YetepMatroda might not be an artist that sounds familiar, but his work is everywhere. You’ve probably heard a Matroda track without even knowing it. He teamed up with Chris Lake to remix SNBRN’s “California” and it has been one of Lake’s most popular remixes of all time. He specializes in funky bass house music that pushes the limits of what the genre is capable of. Chris Matroda’s music is imaginative and fun. Matroda has surprised listeners with a groovy new EP Shut It Down. The five-track EP seamlessly transitions from song to song, sounding like one incredible 20-minute-long track. Released through Monstercat, Matroda’s hard work is seen throughout the entire EP. Check out Shut it Down below.
2018 has continued to be a huge year for the Canadian label Monstercat. Their artists connect with listeners through social media, twitch streams from their artists, and even hosting a 24/7 Monstercat radio; creating a cult-like following from fans. Their artists even have their own music and additional DLC in the popular video game “Rocket League.” It’s impressive to see how far the label has come, and fans are always anticipating more music to come.
