YetepThe legendary Dutch producer Afrojack has released a behemoth of an EP. His latest project, Press Play, comes in at an impressive 14 tracks. The album-length release spans across several genres from big room house, to moombahton, to progressive house. It may be one of Afrojack’s most diverse projects yet, but it is still packed with massive bangers fit for the biggest festivals around the world.
Press Play was released via Afrojack’s own label, Wall Recordings. The EP serves as a sort of showcase for the label, as it features numerous signed artists including Chico Rose, Chasner, DISTO, and Jewelz & Sparks. Press Play shows off more than Afrojack’s own music, it also offers a look into the direction of his greater artistic project.
One unique aspect of the EP is that certain tracks were made with specific festivals in mind, as Afrojack told Billboard in an interview for the Press Play premiere. For example, “Bassride” was made to bring a bass house sound to Ultra, while “Own Game” was crafted with the high energy of Tomorrowland’s main stage in mind. Make sure to Press Play on this EP. You don’t want to miss out on a gem like “Flawless Victory,” which may well be the hardest track that Afrojack has produced to date.
