VAMPA Drops ‘Chillin, Killin’

Chicago based DJ and Producer VAMPA just dropped his latest single with Kannibalen Records “Chillin, Killin” and it’s wonky. The track dropped on the label’s annual All I Want for Christmas is Bass compilation album and it’s the first time we get to see what VAMPA is capable of in a mainstream spotlight. The track is packed with somber, downtempo vocals from VAMPS herself and hypnotizing fast, drum & bass like basslines. VAMPA is newer to the scene, only dropping a handful singles over the past 2 years, but after looking over his discography, it’s clear to see he’s got big things in his future.

VAMPA is a mysterious DJ, with a limited web presence and almost no public information. Her biography is short and mystifying, “You should not turn in fear from darkness hidden within the mind. Life is a battle of polarities; it takes facing the darkness to truly know the light.” Whatever the mystery behind VAMPA is, she brings a positive message to the table and makes incredible music, which is all we could ever ask for.
