YetepTeasing the crowd at EDC Las Vegas, Martin Garrix played a highly anticipated song by duo, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, aka Knife Party. Lost Souls, which was revealed to be the title of their new EP three days later, is pending an upcoming release. Despite pleas of wanting, Knife Party has not set a date for when the EP will drop.
On September 20, 2018, the duo streamed the first episode of their podcast, “Knifecast,” in which they discuss the music scene, occasionally have guest DJs, and generally rant. At the end of the first episode they debuted a dubstep ID titled “Lost Souls.” As the episodes continued to stream, more IDs entered the spotlight, but there was still no news of official releases. With their last release being Trigger Warning in 2015, the announcement of their new music couldn’t come soon enough. In December they revealed on Knifecast that their fifth EP would come out within the next three months. Now, six months later, the Lost Souls EP is finally “coming very soon.”
