Blunts & Blondes Brings the Bass on ‘Lift You Up’ Rework

If you’re alive in 2019 and at least somewhat involved in the dance music scene, then you’ve most likely heard of iconic duo Zeds Dead and their Deadbeats label. The label has been around for years and houses some of the biggest names in house, techno, and bass music, as well as some of the most promising new talent around. Just a few artists associated with the label include 1788-L, Champagne Drip, Eprom, Peekaboo, Holly, Rezz, Rusko, Space Jesus, and Wax Motif, but the list goes on and on.

One of the best things to come out of Deadbeats lately is Florida-based Blunts & Blondes, a bass/dubstep producer who strives for originality. His sound blends a little bit of everything – drawing influences from hip-hop, reggae, and old school dubstep, all while keeping an innovative edge.

For his latest, Blunts & Blondes has taken Zeds Dead and Delta Heavy’s drum and bass track “Lift You Up” and pumped up the bass for a wobbly twist. Hit play below and check it out.

Zeds Dead themselves have been actively promoting the remix the last few days, showing their excitement to finally see it released. The duo has sampled the track many times in various sets around the country lately.

You won’t want to miss Blunts & Blondes at this year’s Goldrush taking place September 27th and 28th at Rawhide Western Town in Chandler, AZ. Click here to see the full lineup, get more info, and purchase those tickets!
