YetepGlass Animals is a group hailing from Oxford, England consisting of Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singe, and Joe Seaward. They made waves with their psychedelic indie pop sound with consciousness-expanding lyrics. Their two popular tracks “Gooey” and “Holiest” took the EDM community by storm with their quirky indie pop soft style. “Tokyo Drifting” will be their first single since their release of their Mercury Prize-nominated album How To Be A Human Being in 2016. Miami rapper Denzel Curry got his start in 2013 with his official studio debut “Nostalgic 64” and garners his fans with his introspective and storytelling lyrics.
“Tokyo Drifting” without a doubt is within Glass Animals experimental and unique take on music. This track blends pop-style lyrics and heavy rap with indie bass beats. There is a very probable chance you have not heard this combination before, and it is unquestionably a song worth listening to. The psychedelic sounding vocals, deep rap, and melodious beats of this song is exactly how I expected Glass Animals would sound whenever they came back into the scene. I am excited to see what Glass Animals has in store for us in the future! Want to hear more? You can check them out below!
