YetepUK’s most sought after producer, Patrick Topping, is back with a new track that’s going to leave you playing it over and over again. The House and Techno connoisseur is continuing to bring a wave of exciting and eclectic sound to the scene with tactful intent. It’s impossible not to notice with each subsequent release. With 50 plus tracks under his belt releasing on Hot Creations, Truesoul, and Relief Records he’s secured a spot at the top. His portfolio includes playing at Coachella, Awakenings, Ultra, and Tomorrowland while landing two DJ Awards and becoming the Mixmag cover star. Through his tenacious success and production aesthetic, Patrick Topping is a musical powerhouse. A couple of years ago he created his label TRICK that showcases his versatility as an artist while highlighting the emerging talent that you’ll want to keep on your radar.
But most recently, he teamed up with Kevin Saunderson to debut “Frisk.” This isn’t the first time the two are seen working with each other. Topping played on Saunderson’s Origins stage at the 2018 Detroit Movement Festival, so it’s exciting that we finally get an official collab. Out now on Armada Music/KMS Records, check it out below.
The track opens with whirring echoes before slamming into a snare and bass line that practically begs you to get frisky. Instrumentals are added gradually before changing beats to something a little darker and a little wobblier. Casually house, exponentially techno, “Frisk” is another reminder of why Patrick Topping’s sound and style are so sought after by artists around the world.
Topping said of working with Saunderson, “It’s obviously a massive dream to collaborate with Kevin Saunderson. Inner City’s ‘Big Fun’ was one of the first House tracks I ever fell in love with. It’s an honour to work with one of the inventors of Techno, as I’ve been a massive fan for years.”
He’ll be playing at Shady Park on March 8th, so grab tickets here to see Patrick Topping in his element as he summons you to get into yours.
