Yetep“As someone who became very much addicted to the attention, I became better at showing off then showing up,” Paul Williams tells The Creators Project. “On that level, I love that they choose to be anonymous. I’m deeply respectful of someone who expresses their craft and their art without the hunger for public attention.”
Lyricist Paul Williams used to spend hours in Jim Henson’s studio, cranking out words to match the melodies of tunes. It seemed only fitting that he’d return to that studio for the to work with Daft Punk on their upcoming record Random Access Memories.

“It’s as if the universe is going, ‘You know, what? To get you in just the right place to work on this album with Daft Punk, we’re just going to screw around with your mind a little bit.’,” says Williams regarding his work in the studio.
Williams says it wasn’t hard to write for this song. The music practically spoke for itself.
“I hear words in music. It’s what I do,” Williams said. “It’s an interesting journey of pure surprised for me because I never know what I’m going to hear.
“The specifics of the lyrics came out of the music. I mean that’s a gorgeous melody.”
Random Access Memories releases on May 21, but you can pre-order it from iTunes and stream in iTunes already.
