YetepYDG has been one of the most exciting names in the melodic dubstep and bass genre for some time now. It is no surprise to see what he has been cooking up with John Summit. The newest remix of the hit single “Go Back (feat. Julia Church)” by YDG has been huge for both artists. John Summit continues to explore his sound, frequently mixing bass, drum and bass, and even some dubstep into his sets. With his collaborations between Subtronics, Tape B, and now YDG, John Summit has frequently used this new YDG remix whenever he needs a change of pace.
Fans of both of these artists know that this one has been a long time coming. Played out over the summer by both, “Go Back (feat. Julia Church) – YDG Remix” is one of the songs of summer. YDG warmed us up at Goldrush this past month and was one of the sets of the weekend. With energy and bass that made the crowd move, YDG impressed. Not only did YDG get his own set on Friday to open the day off, but he also was called on to fill in when an artist was not able to make it. The surprise second set was just what the Goldrush crowd needed. Throughout both of his sets, he was able to bring an energy that few can match.
