Melbourne Bounce and Shots of Jetful with Joel Fletcher

Joel Fletcher was at INTL a couple weeks ago, and well… He brought the house down. This kid, and he really is a kid, cane to party. Joel is only 21, but he understands how to produce some of the best electronic dance music out there right now. His hit single “Jetfuel” is, well… Turn it up.

He’s not taking shots of jetfuel, but now that he is 21, what is he taking shots of? “I am not taking shots of JET FUEL!! But I do enjoy a shot of Fireball Whisky – love that stuff.”

In support of the new single, Joel is on a pretty aggressive tour right now, including a stop at INTL in Scottsdale. “When I was in Scottsdale, I just wanted to bring the bounce and deliver a very energetic performance. Hopefully everyone liked it.”

Like I said, Joel is young, but he started showing success several years ago. He was seeing success when he was only 14. “I have always just taken things in my stride and always kept setting realistic goals to keep moving forward.” He comes by it honestly. “My dad is a musician, so I was always surrounded by it, I LOVE IT.”

“The scene is bigger than ever,” Joel declares. Joel is originally from Australia. “There is so much homegrown support here, and with this whole Melbourne bounce movement blowing up, it’s only getting better!” The sky is the limit for this guy.

What’s with the hat? “My hat goes on when I get out of bed and comes off when I get into bed!” Fair enough!

Joel is headed to Europe next and then back home for a few weeks. “After that, I am off to Asia. When that is over, I am headed home for a few months.” He won’t be home for long. “Then I am headed on a bus tour around America with Will Sparks and Timmy Trumpet. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT!!!”
