YetepThe Go HARD tour is proving to be a fountain of new music with the recent debut of the new remix between Jauz and Dillon Francis of Major Lazer‘s worldwide hit, “Lean On”, among others. On May 30th, during his live set in Toronto, Dillon Francis debuted another new track, this time a collaboration between highest paid DJ in the world, Calvin Harris, and himself. This track is off of his upcoming Moombathon EP set to be released at some point this summer, and is indicative of his trippy bass-heavy sound that he has made himself known for. In addition to this massive track with Calvin Harris, the new EP, announced in March, is set to include collaborations with Skrillex, Bro Safari, and Maluca. We can assume there will be more.
Calvin Harris and Dillon Francis have collaborated before on Calvin’s album, 18 Months, with the track “Here 2 China”, however this new track is much more representative of Dillon Francis’ sound than Calvin Harris’. Despite the Harris sound not being at the forefront of the track, it is magnificent to hear such a huge track from two of the biggest names in electronic music. The track includes an overlaying vocal asking the question, “What is your name?”… potential song title? Check out the video from Go HARD Toronto here. Compare it to the original Calvin Harris and Dillon Francis collab “Here 2 China”:
Via Snapchat, Dillon Francis has confirmed that singles will begin to release in June and July with the EP being released in its entirety this August. Get excited for Dillon to bring back his signature sound, and stay tuned for more information on his EP. Also, knowing these DJs, I’m sure we’ll be hearing more of this new music at the live shows before anywhere else… HARD Summer… Just sayin’. Don’t miss future Dillon Francis collaborator, Bro Safari, at the Monarch for Trapfest on July 18!
