CRUSH 2016: Here’s What To Expect

Crush Music Festival is right around the corner! Whether you’ll be a love bird or a lonely bird this Valentine’s Day, the ultimate celebration will certainly be Saturday at Rawhide. Here’s what to expect from our producing princes getting behind the booth this weekend!

BORGEOUS This L.A. natives career launched in 2013, and has racked up three Billboard #1s, three Beatport #1s, and #1 on the iTunes dance chart in 15 countries. You might recognize his tracks “Tsunami” or the Life in Color anthem “Big Bang.” He’ll be performing at Rawhide and then jetting to San Bernardino to kill two CRUSH sets in one night. I saw Borgeous at Omnia in Las Vegas on my 21st birthday and can promise you won’t be disappointed.

Keys N’ Krates Never heard of them? Get with it! They’ve already performed at Coachella and are scheduled for the legendary Electric Forest. This group began performing as a hip-hop acapella act with heavy bass beats, and have transformed into a Toronto trap trio that kills it on the turntables. Consisting of a drummer, keyboardist and turntablist, Keys N’ Krates produces under Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. They’re best known for their tracks “Dum Dee Dum” and “All the Time.”

Peking Duk Raving to this Australian duo at Life Is Beautiful Festival in downtown Las Vegas, I can vouch for the fact that these guys know how to entertain a crowd. They claimed their fame in 2012 with an insane remix of Passion Pit’s “Take a Walk.” Peking Duk can be best described as alternative dance, but an even better way to describe them is by their first and only album name- Songs To Sweat To. These dudes from down under choose eclectic songs to transform into contagious and dirty dance beats.

Seven Lions Well, one lion: American DJ Jeff Montalvo. This lyric heavy producer is well known for his original track “Strangers” and his remix of Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go.”  He killed his sets at TomorrowWorld and Electric Daisy Carnival in 2015, and there’s no doubt he’ll have the Crush crowd vibing. SL and his signature slow-beat-low-bass hooks are every trance and dubstep fan’s drug.

Jauz Who isn’t obsessed with him right now? This 21-year-old L.A. producer’s hard work at Icon Collective- a music production school- has paid off.  You can expect him to switch up genres like it’s nobody’s business to keep the crowd shuffling. He’s well known for his original tracks “Feel The Volume” and “Deeper Love,” and has performed at Ultra, Life is Beautiful Festival, and Hard Summer last year.

Netsky A Belgium drum and bass producer, he classifies himself as “liquid funk.” Netsky is currently on the “Netsky and Chill” tour. He prides himself in having both a live set and a DJ set, but who knows which he’ll drop at Crush? His most popular tracks are 2015’s “Rio” and “Come Alive.” This producer tends to lean toward sexy house music and dark, romantic music… which is quite fitting for our Valentine’s Day themed rave.

Wax Motif– Known for “Go Deep” that stood in the top 5 on the Beatport Electro chart, this DJ has a unique house sound that makes him distinguishable. Combining progressive and tech house, his mixes of “Beautiful Mess” and “Krush Groove” have landed him well deserved and anticipated sets at festivals like Crush and Holy Ship!

Don’t miss these artists banging beat after beat on the Crush stage this weekend! Valentine or not, I promise you’ll fall in love. You can purchase your Crush tickets here!
