YetepMixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective have been working closely together to bring fans the best in house and tech music from around the globe. Whether it be The Lab in NY/LA or the pop-up Smirnoff House at festivals, these sets are always a must-listen.
This week’s RB Deep in the Mix come from Chris Lake, who recently stopped by the Smirnoff House at EDC Orlando to deliver a funky deep house set. Check it out below:
CHRIS LAKE in The Lab #SmirnoffHouse at EDC Orlando
Chris Lake opened with a Dirtybird favorite and got all the booties percolatin’. This set, sitting right around an hour, includes a ton of awesome remixes. He plays a drip-droppy remix of “FUNKNROLL” by Prince about half way through that really stands out, followed by a bassy rendition of “Nothin’ More I Need” by Felix. Chris Lake made sure to include some originals as well, including “Piano Hand” with Chris Lorenzo, and “I Want You”. He finishes things off with a mellow track, “Money” from singer/songwriter Rukhsana Merrise remixed by Adesse Versions with a steady kick beat. Overall it’s a fun set that’s sure to get you moving and hyped for his upcoming show.
Chris Lake heads downtown to Gypsy Bar on December 9th. Get your tickets here!
