YetepOne of the artists joining us at Phoenix Lights in April is Ekali, a Vancouver born and raised DJ with a knack for adding musical color to the world around him. His sounds are unique, with an effervescent blend of chilled out music to songs consisting of fresh bass and futuristic sounds.
Ekali has remixed names like Flux Pavillion, Flume, Gallant, and Taku and has collaborated with Graves, Falcons, G Jones, and now KRANE, another talented underground bass artist also known as KRNE, on a new single titled ‘Akira.’
‘Akira’ displays the perfect mixture of trap and future bass with breathy soundscapes and snapping snares. The track is fueled by attributes of both artists with a sound that’s ripe with intensity, uncertainty and an underlying allure.
I definitely recommend exploring more of Ekali and KRANE’s music if you haven’t already. Both artists represent the future of dance music and have a fresh new sound unlike anything before.
