YetepItalian producer Pirupa is one of the most versatile DJs and producers over the last 10 years. He can make everything from dancefloor tech-house to melodic songs or even minimalistic beats. His tracks “Sweet Devil” and “Get Funky” are two of the most downloaded tracks on Beatport and his song “Party Non Stop” was voted ‘track of the season’ in the party capital of the world, Ibiza, in 2012. Pirupa has been featured such labels as Drumcode, Crosstown Rebels, Defected, Get Physical, Snatch! and more, and he created his own label NONSTOP in 2015. His discography includes 2 full-length albums, almost 20 singles and EPs, over 50 remixes, and appears on over 100 tracks. His most recent release being a four-track EP, These Beats.
This is Pirupa’s most techno forward EP to date. “Back To Bass” is about a huge bassline and some break beats on the breakdown, making this track into a dancefloor killer. “D3” works around some melodies and synth layers. “City Rockets” is plenty of acid hooks and dark stabs. “These Beats” is pure techno with a powerful beat and hypnotizing rhythmical and melodic sequences.
His sets are a mixture between House and Tech House, with some Deep and Techno vibes, which have brought him to play alongside legends such as Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Marco Carola, Deep Dish, John Digweed and many more. Pirupa takes over Monarch’s Scarlet Room on Saturday, April 15. Get tickets here.
