Spin it Back Saturday: EDX – ‘Warped Minds’

This week has brought us much new in the EDM community. A NEW festival was announced, Origins, which caters to the rising house-head mafia that helps make up our Arizona scene. The festival will take place in a NEW part of Rawhide, The Riverwalk. This week we’ve also got NEW music from Steve Aoki, Tiesto, and Phiso. With all these new and exciting announcements, it’s easy to lose track of all the great accomplishments the electronic industry has already achieved.

For this week’s Spin it Back Saturday we are taking a look at one those achievements. “Warped Minds” is an oldie but a goodie by Spinnin Record’s very own EDX.

This progressive house tune is a melodic harmony of lively and relaxing sound. EDX throws in faded, distorted vocals that are packed with meaning over electrifying synths, soulful piano, and gifted rhythms. “Warped Minds” is off of the Swiss artist’s 2012 debut album On the Edge. The name of the album does justice because every track will leave you ‘On the Edge’ of your seat. After hearing “Warped Minds” I quickly checked out more of EDX’s work and it all lives up to the high standard he has set for himself. Since the release of “Warped Minds,” EDX has gone on to create over 350 episodes of his radio show “No Xcuses” and play massive festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, and Ultra Miami.

You’re not going to want to miss EDX as he takes over Rawhide for the inaugural Origins Festival. This event is going to be HUGE! Grab tickets here.
