RB Weekend Preview: There’s Only One Rule — Bingo Players, Fight Clvb, Tommy Trash + The Annual RB Mixer & Global DJ Competition

And that rule is that you must go to every single one of our shows this weekend! We want to get everyone pumped up for Mad Decent Block Party that is coming up just next week, so for the perfect pre-weekend party we’re bring out some of our favorites including Bingo Players, Fight Clvb, Tommy Trash, and we have our 3rd annual Relentless Beats “15 Mins To Fame” DJ Competition.

7/8 – Bingo Players @ Rialto Theatre

If you are unfamiliar with Bingo Players as a whole, they were a Dutch dance and electro house DJ duo and record producer. However, after the death of Paul Bäumer, Maarten Hoogstraten announced that Bäumer had said to continue with the Bingo Players. They are best known for their hit songs “Cry (Just a Little)” and “Rattle”. “Cry (Just a Little)” was a Top 40 hit in the Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, and other parts of Europe and Australia, in addition to an international club hit. Their latest track that was put out was “Be With You” in which they took their normal bouncy house feel to a more subtle and laid back house beat with female vocals soaring over the top as steel drums keep the energy flowing in the background.

7/9 – Fight Clvb @ Gypsy Bar

Just having released three tracks under the EP title “Fight Free” Fight Clvb has put out some new music just in time for their show this weekend! Dipping their feet in dubstep, moombahton, and house, Fight Clvb are here to show us their musical diversity and mastery of sound manipulation. The other fun fact is that they are actual a trio of musicians which is fairly uncommon. SAV formerly known from the moombahton outfit “Sazon Booya” takes the helm of the project as producer, DJ, visual content creator, as well as project manager. Carly M Burns is a classically trained musician who produces with SAV and writes for the project. Mystereo, the masked man known formerly for his crazy nonsense antics as the hype man for Sazon Booya will dawn the stage once again as FIGHT CLVB’s hype man and group adviser.

7/10 – Tommy Trash @ Talking Stick Resort

Aussie native Tommy Trash is about as diverse as they come. While he may be a classically trained musician from the University of Queensland, he’s got a rebel heart and soul. He plays hard, but he works even harder. His discography is massive. From electro-house to heavy bass, he covers it all. His latest track he put out is with the God of scratching and DJing, A-Trak, titled “Lose My Mind“. The song features a groovy-electro bassline and a much slower tempo than house music to really let the kick and shuffling hi hats dig down deep on the beat. The song even has the percussion slightly off beat at points to allow for a dragging feel, once again just making that bassline go even deeper than you go have ever thought.

7/10 – Relentless Beats “Mixer” + RB “15 Mins to Fame” DJ Competition @ Monarch Theatre

It’s that time of the year again and every local DJ eagerly awaits the start of our “15 Mins To Fame” DJ Competition! After having collected over 100 different mixes from locals all over the valley the Relentless Beats team will be narrowing down to 12 semi finalists to compete this weekend! The top 5 scoring DJs will move on and then those 5 will compete again for a chance to open up at Global Dance Festival! So be sure to go out and support some local talent because eventually some of these guys are going to be on the big stage one day!
