YetepJustin Martin is a Dirtybird co-founder and master of funky beats. His debut LP Ghettos & Gardens hit in 2012 and established him as a tech house artist to watch. His sophomore album Hello Clouds came four years later and solidified his place at the top.
Billboard described Hello Clouds as “a melodic, funky, day-dream of a journey into the mind and heart of a man who travels the world seeking the best grooves, the best dance floors, and the best pizza.” The album topped the iTunes charts and has received millions of plays since its release.
Like most great albums this one got the remix treatment, giving fans a whole new set of tunes to listen to.
The remix album, released last month, features 13 revamped tracks from Ardalan, Kyle Watson, Soul Clap, Low Steppa, Chris Lorenzo and more. Soul Clap adds a deep house vibe to “Midnight”. Chris Lorenzo brings some extra bass on “Back to the Jungle” and Doorly gives “Midnight” a disco spin. This remix album does Hello Clouds justice; the songs remain recognizable but with a new, unique spin.
I’m partial to Walker & Royce‘s remix of “The Feels” but give the album a listen and pick a favorite of your own. Justin Martin joins an out of this world Phoenix Lights lineup on April 9th! Get tickets here.
