YetepCalvin Harris is a staple in the EDM industry and the king of summer classics. In fact, on of his most notable classics is a song titled “Summer,” which was released in the summer of 2014 and played on the radio even now.
Calvin Harris is also well known for his collaborations, most notably with his last single “Slide,” which had Frank Ocean and Migos featured on it. His new album lives true to his past history with groovy beats and many known R&B and Rap artists features. The album, titled Funky Wav Bounces Vol.1, is exactly how the title states: funky and bouncy, provided optimum summer vibes. Harris really outdid himself on this album with features from artists such as Schoolboy Q, Young Thug, Future, Khelani, Snoop Dog, Travis Scott, and my personal favorite Khalid just to name a few. All the songs on this album are guaranteed to make you want to drive down the highway with your windows down and your music bumping. My personal favorite from the album would have to be “Rollin,” which features Future and Khalid. This song captures the soul of both Harris and Khalid and I can’t help but smile and dance along with it. If you haven’t heard this album yet make sure you check it out ASAP! It’s my favorite album of Summer ’17 so far and will have you grooving your way through any occasion.
