YetepAcross 4 hard-hitting cuts, Bear Grillz conjures an array of thundering bass on his Ground Zero EP. Continuing his propensity for collaboration, Bear Grillz invites rapper Atarii to join him on several tracks, including the chaotic intro cut “Vision.”
“I’m pretty excited to have worked with up and comer Atarii throughout Ground Zero. Back in March, during the first lockdown, I got together with him and he made a few vocals for me and a couple pre-drop samples. I ended up using them all. One of my favorites is Vision, which is just a 128BPM smasher and he murdered the rap.” – Bear Grillz
On Ground Zero, Bear Grillz’s second EP of the year, the Denver-based DJ/producer continues his hot streak by delivering another package of carefully designed soundscapes. Ground Zero opens with a duo of dubstep bangers, “Vision” and “Fire,” before progressing into the hybrid-trap single “Don’t Giva.” Closing on an emotional note, Atarii’s heartfelt verses segue into big melodic drops on “It Ain’t True.”
The new EP follows Bear Grillz’s six-track masterpiece, Reanimated, and a recent remix of Steve Aoki’s “Terra Incognita (feat. Bryan Johnson).” In a print review of Reanimated, DJ Mag gave the EP a flawless 10/10 rating, noting that the EP is “technically almost perfect.”
Bear Grillz – Ground Zero EP Tracklist
