YetepWhat happens when you combine country with house music? Destructo shows us exactly what that looks like in his latest music video for his remix of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” The video takes place in a honky tonk bar in rural Colorado as shufflers and cowboys alike are overcome with the urge to dance. Eventually the bar is transformed into a dance floor, with Destructo on the decks and everyone showing off their dance skills, however they know how. Check it out below.
Dolly Parton – Jolene (Destructo Remix – Official Music Video)
Dolly Parton gave Destructo official authorization to remix her iconic track, marking a first for the award-winning country singer. Destructo’s rework of “Jolene” takes the 1974 classic and adds a four-on-the-floor beat, deep bass tones, and bubbly synths, all while maintaining the original’s country charm. The video depicts this remix’s conglomeration of old vs. new, as shuffler Sam Steadman gets down on the dance floor with a diverse set of friends. “Jolene” is available to stream now via RCA/Sony Music Entertainment.
Destructo will be making an appearance at this year’s Decadence Arizona on December 30th-31st, alongside artists like Chris Lake, Alison Wonderland, DJ Diesel, and many more. You can see the full lineup and purchase tickets here!
