YetepWhen he’s not busy leading major industry organizations, Gary Richards, aka Destructo, is still in the studio pumping out original music. Named one of “50 Most Important People in EDM” by Rolling Stone magazine, Richards has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments throughout his career including founding the influential HARD Events brand and launching it to what it is today, creating the cruise festival, Holy Ship! as well as the recently curated FRIENDSHIP, joining LiveStyle North America as president in 2017, and maintaining a highly successful career as a DJ. He’s toured the world and released four EPs, not to mention countless remixes and collaborations.
For this week’s Spin it Back Saturday, we’re heading back to 2012 when Destructo dropped “Technology.” Take a listen below.
Dark Techno meets House in this track, as we are brought back to Destructo’s roots and reminded of exactly why we first fell in love with his sound. “Technology” comes from Destructo’s first EP, under the same name. Back in 2012, we were just getting to know Destructo, and the release of his debut EP set the bar high for what was to come.
You can catch up on your Destructo as he makes his way to Phoenix on Saturday, November 3 alongside Gerry Gonza and Boys Noize. This show is going to be a memorable one, so be sure to grab those tickets now!
