Pretty Lights, RAC and Many More Remix Bob Marley’s Legend Album

Two unlikely music worlds collide to make an incredible compilation of Bob Marley’s greatest hits in Legend Remixed.

In this new interpretation of Bob Marley and The Wailer’s 1984 Legends album, EDM DJs and producers gathered to remix the group’s biggest hits. Pretty Lights takes on “Exodus” giving the track new robotic vocals while RAC gives “Could You Be Loved” new bounce. DJ/producer Jason Bentley and Marley’s son, Stephen Marley produced the record. Ziggy Marley also appears on the album with his interpretation of “Redemption Song” and “Stir It Up”. Other DJs who collaborated in the project include: Thievery Corporation, Beats Antique, Jim James, Roni Size, Nickodemus, ZEB and Z-Trip.

The album is accompanied by weekly behind-the-scenes moments and interviews. The first video in the series features Stephen Marley and Jason Bentley working on “Three Little Birds”. The sentiment expressed by these producers and the meaning of their work on this album connects the audience to these remixes. Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation explains on the “Punk Reggae Party” video that this album will introduce Bob Marley to a younger generation who mainly listen to EDM while exposing Bob Marley fans to dance music.
