YetepKenny Beats and Ryan Marks, the genre mixing duo that make up LOUDPVCK refuse to stick to one genre of music. While Ryan was out on the west coast producing and DJing electronic music, Kenny was getting his start in the music business by producing rap artists such as Ab Soul, Schoolboy Q, and Smoke DZA. The two may come from different places but the sound evolved when they come together is truly something else. They continue to mix things up on the charts with individual projects and outside collaborations, working with everyone from NERVO, Carnage, Paper Diamond & Dada Life to name a few. But one of their latest creations pairing up with the one and only Zeds Dead is one of the dirtiest I’v ever heard.
With heavy bass, filthy dub, and boundary-breaking beats, Zeds Dead’s music has the power to change the way you feel and alter your perceptions. I’v always described the Toronto duo’s sound as being able to hammer a nail into your head and liking it. Dylan Mamid, or DC, and Zach Rapp-Rovan, or Hooks have been producing music together since 2004. The two have worked with many legends but like I said really got down to business with this new collaboration. The track properly titled “Flies” blends the styles of ZD and LOUDPVCK perfectly by jumping from grimy trap drops to anthemic heavy hitting house tempos, strung together by punchy drums and effected vocal. Zeds Dead will be dropping the new heat here in AZ on September 5th at the Talking Stick Resort’s Release Pool Party for those who are 21 and over, or that night in Tuscon at the Rialto Theatre.
