Make Your Mark: UKF Is Doing More than Just Recording Music

Most the time for this weekly preview, I usually like to focus on the record label’s new music and history. Most people do not realize that record labels are much more than just recording music. Some record labels are so extensive in their work that their website usually has updated news, events, etc.

This week’s Make Your Mark is UKF. It was originally started in 2009 as a Youtube channel in the United Kingdom. The goal for Luke Hood, founder, was to share drum and bass and dubstep to people around the world. A successful company that include artists like Snails, Skrillex, John Newman, and many more. What’s more exciting than that is the three events that UKF has partnered on to host this year.

Now, this upcoming festival is definitely a festival that you need to put on your bucket list. Sea Dance Festival looks absolutely fire. This festival is one of UFK’s biggest event of the year and takes place on a beach! Did I say beach? Hell, yes. By day the ravers party in the ocean, and by night they rage their faces off on the beautiful beach of Jaz. The lineup this year looks sick with headliners like Skrillex, Zomboy, Hurts, and many more. This event is happening in the UK this weekend! If you can’t make it, don’t worry! The next big event UFK will be attending is the Sundown Festival on September 2-4 Norfolk Showground, Norwich. UFK is actually hosting a stage at this incredible event. Artists that will be playing at this stage will be Jaguar Skills, David Rodigan and My Nu Leng! Now this is not a small event. Check out the video below to see how absolutely wild this event will be during our labor day weekend.  

The last event for UFK’s summer festivals is Lockdown Festival, September 9-12.  One of the biggest UK events of the year, but listen to this. Imagine being at a camping festival at castle! Put this down as a bucket list idea because you will be raging and camping at a Powderham Castle. Some artists include Noisia, Katy B, Andy C., and of course many more.

UFK Records has made their mark in this industry not only by bringing out the best bangers, but also assisting and hosting killer events. Looks like UKF has given all of us a reason to go to the UK next year so that we can all experience these unique festivals.
