YetepIf you’re going through Bassnectar withdrawals after Global Dance Festival or couldn’t get off work for the craziness that was Claude VonStroke’s Phoenix show earlier this month, the rave Gods have answered your prayers… by stacking up a legendary lineup for this year’s Electric Forest in Rothbury, Michigan.
With two unique weekends in the mystic and magical forest, both weekends are undoubtedly bringing beats to blow the minds of bass heads, house heads, trap queens, and everyone in between. A majority of the artists- highlighted in yellow- are performing BOTH weekends, making the decision between June 22-25 and June 29- July 2 a tad bit easier. Headliners Nero, Odesza, My Morning Jacket, Above and Beyond and Oliver Heldens are exclusive to weekend one, while DJ Snake, RL Grime, Thievery Corporation, Alison Wonderland and HI-LO (Helden’s alter ego) are to weekend two. Hard decision? Yeah.
WEEKEND ONE:

For Electric Forest newcomers: yes, you’re right, the String Cheese Incident isn’t a festival regular. They are an eclectic, non-traditional band established in 1993 that create funky bluegrass, folk, country, reggae and psychedelic music from Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Known for their musical creativity and integrity, the String Cheese Incident will present a special Sound Lab Live performance TWICE each weekend. Curated Events will include Bassrush, Bird House, Crew Love, Foreign Family Collective, Future Classic, Her Forest, HI-LO presents Heldeep, Night Bass, No Xcuses, and Turntablists.
WEEKEND TWO:

If you’re still not sold on the idea of escaping to the Michigan woods to rave with this outrageously talented catalog of DJs during a worry-free weekend, just remember that this is just the INITIAL lineup. This is only phase one of the 2017 performers… if there’s an act you’re still waiting to see, it might just be in Michigan next summer.
