YetepDutch DJ and producer Laidback Luke has built himself a mightily impressive musical empire that has touched the highest reaches of the music industry. He has a career that spans two decades and has taken him around the globe. He made his debut in 1995 and since then he’s had over 100 releases. Add a who’s who list of collaborators, remixes, credits ranging from Daft Punk, Green Velvet and Depeche Mode to Robin Thicke, Madonna and Mariah Carey and a side gig in professional Kung Fu and there is still no rarer breed of superstar DJ than Laidback Luke.
This week’s Relentless Beat of the Week is Laidback Luke’s latest, “With Me.”
Laidback Luke teamed up with the prodigious Florian Picasso for this house infused single released on the hugely popular Spinnin’ Records. Fizzing with a pop energy and colorful progression, “With Me” is a track that’s packed full of melody and lots of gorgeous sounds. Soft piano chords and trancey chords lead us into Tania Zygar‘s sleek vocals. The track with its powerful drops showcases the best of each producer. It’s a knock-out for the upcoming festival season.
Laidback Luke is bringing his laidback vibes poolside on Saturday, June 10 at Talking Stick Resort. Grab your tickets here.
