YetepBack in October of 2016, Canadian duo Zeds Dead released their first official album, Northern Lights. The album, featuring collaborations with Diplo and NGHTMRE and vocalists/rappers Pusha T, Elliphant, and GG Magree is a complete knockout and a refreshing effort from Zeds Dead showcasing their crazy talent and experimentation with new styles.
Following the release of the album, ZD embarked on their Northern Lights Tour, taking on 42 cities around the globe and brought along supporting acts Big Wild, Illenium, Ghastly, Hunter Seigel, Unlike Pluto, Oshi, Memorecks, and Nebbra at select shows.
Now that the duo is back in the studio, they’ve graced us with some new music, a remix of one of their own tracks off the Northern Lights album, “Slow Down.” The original track maintains a down tempo and faint guitar riffs juxtaposed with Jenna Pemkowski’s vocals.
The remix, not straying too far from the original, begins with almost the same guitar melody which is then built up into a higher tempo chorus with a bass house vibe. As numerous remixes have been released by different artists of the Northern Lights album, the one done by legends themselves obviously tops the rest.
