Markus Schulz: DJ Times’ America’s Best DJ 2012

“I’ve just found out the amazing news that I’ve been voted America’s Best DJ—it’s a huge honor and I want to thank everyone for their support.”

Markus Schulz said that from the road of his tour promoting his new album ‘Scream’, after receiving the news as his stardom grew a bit brighter this year. Though most of the voting was done online at the DJ Times website, fans were allowed to vote at more than 20 events on America’s Best DJ Summer Tour.

Now, more than ever, says Markus, is the best time to be in the midst of the dance music movement in America. “Our scene has been built from a foundation of respect and admiration for the music. When I’m on stage doing what I love every week, winning awards is the last thing on my mind. So to win this really means an incredible amount to me, and I am humbled by everyone out there who believes in what I do.”

“I’m very happy to see Markus win Americas Best DJ,” said Sol Shafer, Director of Special Operations & Music, Tao Group, which oversees Marquee nightclub. “For almost the past decade, I have seen him make people smile and dance—and this is an achievement that is well deserved.”

Markus will be at Wild Knight on Friday, October 12 at Sound Kitchen.
