The mixing starts with the Relentless Beats “Mixer” & 15 Minutes of Fame DJ competition on Thursday, August 20, where you will be able to see the 15 selected DJs who submitted their own original mixes earlier this month to the Relentless Beats office. On Friday night you can kick off your weekend by catching Designer Drugs at Urbane Manner, where they will be laying down their melodic, yet edgy, tracks for you all. Follow that up with a double-header Saturday starting with trance legends, Cosmic Gate, at Release Pool Party who will be proceeded by Vanic at the Monarch Theatre later that night. It’s going to be one hell of a weekend so lets get a little more detailed below!

Designer Drugs make their return to the Phoenix metropolitan area this Friday where they will be playing at Urbane Manner in Old Town Scottsdale. This duo has been laying down dirty dub, trap, and a mix of hardcore/softcore tracks since 2007. This duo is currently signed to Ultra Records and Sex Cult Records where they have released a number of tracks since their inception including the recently released “Love U Bae”, “Scream My Name”, and “Bounce Like This”, as well as numerous remixes which boast their high energy and raw sound. Check out “Bounce Like This Below” and catch Designer Drugs for free this Friday!
All you trance-heads out there! Rejoice this Saturday as we bring a couple of legends to your doorstep over at Talking Stick Resort. Cosmic Gates will be stepping out into the light to wake your minds, taking you on a fantastic journey through their catalog of harmonious and rapturous tracks. The duo united in 1998 with a chance meeting, and later developed their relationship into a master class of musical spectacle. Building their name over the years with awe-inspiring releases, appearances at super-clubs around the world, and bringing heat to festivals around the world, this trance partnership has certainly become one that will linger in the minds of fans for years, even decades, to come. In 2013 they took their Wake Your Mind radio show to the next level by creating the Wake Your Mind record label as a division of Armin van Buuren‘s Armada Records. Ultimately, Cosmic Gates goal with their music and with Wake Your Mind is to communicate a belief in “border-free electronic music“, which essentially should serve as an “abbreviation-of-choice for those wishing to display a more flexible, less tribal outlook to electronic music.” Don’t miss your chance to get lost in the sounds of Cosmic Gate this coming Saturday at Release!
Vanic is 100% a show of incredible synth usage and melodies that will absolutely blow you away. This Saturday night at the Monarch you have the chance to witness this amazing Canadian talent take it to the next level with his astounding mixture of dubstep, house, and chill-out trap tunes. Vanic has churned out some fantastic remixes from the likes of Die Antwoord, CHVRCHES, and more recently, Major Lazer. In addition, his original work surpasses that of many producers in the game. The work he has done with frequent collaborator, K. Flay, is a stunning display of what this up and coming talent is capable of. Check out the Relentless Beat of the Week column here which features Vanic and K. Flay’s track “Make Me Fade”. Also, below you can find one of his astounding remixes, this one of CHVRCHES “The Mother We Share”!
Come out this weekend to find a great mix of people, genres, venues, and just plain old good times!
