After an intense seven minute set from each competitor the judges deliberated backstage with their scorecards tallying up each contestant overall score and divvying up the fan vote. With 30 points available in 3 categories, originality, technicality, and stage presence it was a close race. With a 1.5 difference in points, Dj Kurr took home $2500 check for himself as well as a $2500 check to the charity of his choice and let’s not forget a year supply of free Chipotle and the opening slot for Ciara.
Make sure to check out our exclusive interview with Dj Kurr with Phoenix’s own Natasha Castle. And don’t forget to RSVP for the upcoming February 11 campus DJ competition at ASU with a special guest you won’t want to miss. College DJ’s can sign-up at www.campusdj.com for a chance to compete.
