Beyond the Music: Human Masterpieces Created by Galaxy Dipped

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, is a creative group of individuals who have taken their talents to the next level, Galaxy Dipped. Phave and Cierra, a local power couple, have the help of their Galaxy Dipped Fam to provide festival-goers with a way of expressing themselves through body art.

“The ultimate goal is to bring a show within the show. We know the music is what is bringing us all together, so this is just another way to connect us a little more. We want everyone to be part of the Galaxy Fam.” – Cierra

Cierra has been doing body paint for the past two years, but Bassrush Massive was their first time getting to crew together to do a show.

“It was so crazy, we had all talked about Bassrush being our first show. Flyers just kept coming up and we all had this feeling about it and a few days before the show they let us know we were able to vend, and we all were pumped and proud on how we just accomplished a goal together.” – Cierra

Really, there are some talented people over at Galaxy Dipped. To give an idea of how the process works, first they pour acrylic paints inside of a bin, adding each color one by one. Once all the colors are flowing inside of the water, one sticks whichever body part they want to be dipped inside of the tub. As they slowly pull out their arm, leg, or whatever it may be, it comes out perfectly marbled. It’s an interesting way to spice up your getup.

“We had been practicing at this for a few months so the technique was pretty established, but we worked on our set up so much the few days before trying to prepare for Bassrush. We wanted everything to be perfect.” – Phave

With thousands of people at the event, the Galaxy Dipped crew was dipping people all night, even some the security guards joined in on the fun!

“We all felt so welcomed and the vibes were crazy. We really can’t wait to do it again, we hope be a part of the rave culture from here on out.” – Cierra
