Relentless Beats

Goodbye GRiZ

It has been one hell of a ride. First and foremost I want to extend the most sincere thank you to one of my personal favorite musicians. Playing his final show in the beginning of October, Grant Kwiecinski, better known as GRiZ, has given EDM some of the happiest tunes and the greatest showmanship that the industry has seen. Bursting from the scenes with love, appreciation and happiness, if you have had the chance to see GRiZ perform live then you know what it is like to party. Embodying every aspect of PLUR, GRiZ and his fans are some of the nicest and most genuine people in the scene. It is with this knowledge in mind that we turn to the bittersweet goodbye that we are all now facing. Whether you’re an OG SoundCloud, Chasing the Golden Hour 1, fan or just discovering this amazing producer, one thing is for sure, GRiZ has given the EDM industry and his world a nice burst of sunshine that we all get to enjoy.

Unable to slide quietly into his “hiatus,” GRiZ brought his final curated event to Flagstaff, AZ last month. This beautiful and intimate show was his last chance to put on a GRiZ produced show. We are lucky to be able to have experienced such a special show. Not only has GRiZ been releasing some of his unreleased music on SoundCloud through his most recent ID Bible, but we have received one final goodbye gift from the DJ that so many of us have grown to love. With some brand new tunes, Grant says his final goodbye for an indefinite amount of time with Ouroboros. A combination of his instrumental albums such as Chasing the Golden Hour and some of the more dubstep roots from his Bangers EPs, this final parting album is a great way for us to remember all of the fantastic memories we have shared at GRiZ shows and events. With heavy hearts we say goodbye to one of the best live performers in EDM. We will await your return; enjoy the time with your family and friends.
