YetepThe boss behind Dirtybird Records, Claude VonStroke, just dropped his much-anticipated two-track EP, Walay (My Bae), his first solo EP in two years. Released on his Dirtybird label, the two tracks “Walay (My Bae)” and “Raw Nerve” could not be more different from one another. “Walay (My Bae)” is more of a classic Claude track, with a fast-paced tempo and borrowed sounds from his 2009 album, Bird Brain. He slows it down in “Raw Nerve” with dark, melancholic vocals from Claude himself.
The release marks Claude’s first solo EP since 2016, however, he’s been far from quiet since then. His recent collaboration, “Grenade” with EPROM, has become a staple in tech-house and techno sets across the world. Claude can be seen playing a number of festivals, clubs, or at his legendary Dirtybird BBQ series or his own Dirtybird Campout, which now takes place on both the west and east coasts each year.
