YetepJason Ross is one of those producers you can’t really put in a particular category. The man does it all. From progressive house to trance, to bass music, Ross’ goal is to take you on a journey. His goal comes to fruition on his newest single “The Gorge” featuring Seattle-based producers Dimibo, released on Anjunabeats. The single is a salute to the beautiful amphitheater in Washington and it’s in your face style is sure to get you moving. Within seconds from the start, the beat drops into a low-synth powered jam, slowly transforming itself into a hypnotizing psytrance piece. The layers on the track will make your head spin, as there is a lot going on, so listening with headphones (or max volume in your car) is recommended. The song really switches up around the halfway mark, but you’ll just have to listen for yourself.
Accompanying his latest single, Ross also dropped his first mix in his six-part “Rooms” series. The collection of work will run throughout 2019, showcasing the producer’s eclectic taste in dance music. You can listen to the first installment now, and be on the lookout for another in the coming months.
These two releases are here to hold you over until Ross unveils his Rooms EP on January 25th. The EP is just the beginning, as 2019 promises to be a huge year for the exceptionally talented producer.
