Sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, better known by their stage name Krewella have been breaking stereotypes for over a decade. Together they have influenced and elevated the status of women in the music industry with their diligence – an industry strongly dominated by men. Since forming the duo in 2007, these prestigious women have dedicated their careers to empowering women all over the world and in the process a loyal fan group, self dubbed #KREW, was established. For many, Krewella has been their first introduction to electronic dance music since the release of their EP ‘Play Hard’ in 2012.
Throughout the years, Krewella has cultivated the perfect blend of Dubstep, Trap and Electro house music and have created their own vastly unique sound. Together, the sister duo’s revolutionary approach to music has inspired women all over the globe to work towards their goals; and with every hit single, they continue to prove that hard work and resilience make dreams come true.
Krewella continues to empower women and shed light on mental health through a segment they hold on Twitch called #MentalHealthMonday. A segment dedicated to raising awareness to the seriousness of mental health. The powerful duo also takes advantage of this time to interact with their #KREW and build a stronger more intimate relationship with their audience.

Krewella’s devotion to their music and unique music style has changed that overall course of electronic dance music. They have pioneered a path for independent talented women to express themselves through music. Over the years, Krewella’s worked side by side with some of the industries most respected female producers, such as Nervo. Most recently, Krewella shared the spotlight with the iconic duo with the released of their most recent collaboration, “Goddess” released in the fall 2020.
