YetepOctober is here and all the great things that come with it. Cooler weather, costumes and candy, and of course, Halloween parties! It also means BOO! Arizona is right around the corner. This week’s Relentless Beat of the Week comes from BOO! headliner, Knife Party.
“Internet Friends – VIP” is off Knife Party’s Haunted House album (how incredibly fitting) released in 2013. The song is full of blood-pumping bass. The use of special effect sounds turns this track into a suspenseful thriller. Eerie female vocals tell the story of the ‘darker side’ of social media, claiming that blocking someone Facebook is an offense worthy of a death sentence. The song is all over the place in the best possible way. It’s sure to get you hyped for BOO! and all your upcoming halloween shows.
Knife Party began as a side project between Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, who also go by Pendulum. In time it’s become their main project and they continue to put out bass-heavy head banging beats. Their current tour is taking them across continents, but they’re making a stop in Arizona on October 15th. You don’t want to miss Knife Party when they tear up the stage at BOO! Get tickets here.
