YetepOver the years tons of future bass artists have been on the rise, including one in particular, Kill Paris. His sound has evolved from a more future funk sound to incorporating more elements of future bass. We were given the pleasure of welcoming Kill Paris to 2016’s Decadence New Years Eve, and now he’s set to visit Az again in the end of May.
In honor of his return, I thought it would be appropriate to feature one of Kill Paris’ first ever tracks for Spin it Back Saturday. Kill Paris first started uploading his own tracks to SoundCloud in 2013, and one of my favorites from back in the day is ‘Slap Me.’
‘Slap Me’ is the epitome of future funk. It’s full of funky melodies and twangy synths, with a future structure to it. This style could be compared to those of Big Gigantic or Griz, who have also both ventured out from their funky roots in trying new things.
Check out Kill Paris’ new and old tracks to get ready for his appearance on May 28th at Shady Park. It’ll be night full of good vibes with an opening set from Electric Mantis, don’t miss this one.
