Avicii Cancels India Tour Due To Continued Health Issues

Missing two of his four sets at Future Music Festival in Brisbane earlier this month due to acute pancreatitis, Avicii‘s health issues still plague him as he cancels his shows in Mumbai and Delhi.

Avicii was scheduled to perform on both April 6 and 7 as a part of the Sunburn Arena Avicii India tour.

According to the official statement, “Avicii has been facing health issues recently and has been forced to take rest until he is once again healthy to perform and travel until further notice.”

“We are in talks with the management to monitor his health condition and wish him a full and speedy recovery.  We will work with the management to reschedule the dates later this year. We appreciate your understanding and our thoughts and well wishes are with Avicii who is extremely disappointed to cancel his visit to India.”

Without going into much detail, acute pancreatitis occurs when digestive enzymes in the pancreas start attacking the pancreas itself. (Thanks WebMD)
