Relentless Beats

Alison Wonderland Announces Second Album, ‘AWAKE’ and North American Tour

At last, the wait for the next Wonderland album is over! On April 6, Astralwerks will release AWAKE, the follow-up to Alison Wonderland’s 2015 debut album Run, which entered Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart at No. 1. A mix of digital-pop and incendiary beats, AWAKE sees Wonderland blaze new territory sonically, vocally and emotionally. Lead single “CHURCH” features her most revealing lyrics to date, concerning struggles with difficult relationships, anxiety, and self-doubt. She hopes AWAKE will help others face their own trials. “If you’ve got a voice and a platform, you can use it for real communication,” Wonderland says. “I want to make a track that someone will hear and be like ‘shit, I totally get what she’s feeling and if she can get out, maybe I can, too.’ I don’t want them to be afraid to talk about it.”

Pre-order launched last Friday after Wonderland shared another one of her new songs, the hypnotic “No.” Fans who pre-order AWAKE digitally will instantly receive “No” plus the soaring first single, “Church,” and “Happy Place.”

With the album complete, Wonderland is ready to take AWAKE on the road, beginning with her April 13 and 20 performances at Coachella, where she will become the highest billed female DJ in the festival’s history. Her North American tour will kick off on August 3 at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO and include an August 17 concert at Los Angeles’ historic Shrine Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now! Every online ticket purchase for the summer run comes with one digital download of Awake. For additional details, visit alisonwonderland.com.
