YetepHenry Smithson, best known by his stage name Riton, is an English electronic music DJ and producer who although is new to our blog, is someone we are sure you’ll quickly grow familiar with. Having deep roots in the House genre, he is right in line with some of our Rawhide frequenters like Born Dirty, Walker & Royce, and Justin Martin. He has recently linked up with one of our favorites and known global superstar, Oliver Heldens, to release their new highly anticipated single “Turn Me On.”
What’s unique about this one is it’s homage to scrunchies, snapbacks, and feathered hair. You can pick up samples of the legendary melody of “Don’t Go” by Yazoo, a tune you may not know but you parents sure will. Blending this hit from the 80’s with the new brings a club house heater that moves you side to side, as well as back in time. Check it out below.
“Recently, I’ve been really enjoying sampling songs from the ’70s and ’80s, so I loved reworking the iconic Yazoo synth sample and First Choice’s ‘Doctor Love’ hook into this fresh 2019 Dance smash,” said Heldens. “Working on this together with Riton and Vula has been really fun and constructive!”
Get ready to dance with Heldens’ groovy 80’s vibe on this one at Goldrush THIS weekend. Click here to purchase tickets before they sell out.
