YetepOver the last seven-plus years, Huxley has excelled at many different styles, more recently settling somewhere in the tech and house realm, and often ahead of the curve. His latest EP, Make It Right, exemplifies his extraordinary talents. He’s not working alone, though. This time, Huxley has teamed up with Hauswerks for a three-part masterpiece.
Huxley, not afraid of a big hook or slaying bassline, is an artist who unites a variety of sounds, styles, and scenes with ease and always proves as fun as he is well informed. He is as comfortable headlining a vast festival stage as he is holding down a small and sweaty basement. Hauswerks is still relatively new to the scene, finding his breakthrough in 2015 and seeing releases on underground favorites VIVa music, Elrow and Hot Creations. He’s also the go-to engineer for fellow industry mainstays Steve Lawyer, Doorly and Mark Knight. They’ve brought the best of both their abilities and together created three entrancing tracks. The title track has an urgent upbeat tech house tempo teamed with a subtle, high-pitched vocal. “On Your Knees” is a vocal heavy number followed by the closer “Night Breed,” a synth-laden, hypnotizing number to wrap it all up.
You can catch Huxley this spring at Phoenix Lights festival. Get more info, see the full lineup, and grab tickets here.
