TomorrowWorld: The Most Magical Experience This Side of the Atlantic + RB’s Ultimate Guide to TomorrowWorld

TomorrowWorld begins tomorrow, Friday, September 25th, and everyone’s expectations are set very high, as they should be. This is the third year of the festival and already in the short amount of time since the festival’s inception, it has garnered an enormous following and audience. In 2014, the festival had an attendance of over 160,000 people from over 75 different countries. That just goes to show the diversity that a festival of this magnitude attracts.

For those of you who are unaware, TomorrowWorld is the sister festival to Belgium’s Tomorrowland. With TomorrowWorld, ID&T and SFX have attempted to recreate the magic that originated with the earth-shattering European festival. In 2011, 2012, and 2013, Tomorrowland received the award for “Best Musical Event Worldwide,” and “Best Major European Festival” in 2012. With 180,000 attendees yearly from over 215 different countries, Tomorrowland is the largest international festival gathering on Earth.

Tomorrowland 2015 | Official Aftermovie

Therefore, the magic that this brand possesses is undeniable. Just take a look at that stunning 2015 aftermovie. The crowd is bursting with energy, the positivity flourishes from every direction, the music enraptures souls, and the production is absolutely flawless. This isn’t meant for just one place. It should be experienced by all.

That’s where TomorrowWorld comes in. For those of us who can not afford to traverse the Atlantic, we have the next best thing. Deep in the woods of Chattahoochee Hills, TomorrowWorld makes its mark and invites us to experience Melodia with all of the bells and whistles of Tomorrowland. This year we even get the main stage that accompanied Tomorrowland during one of its “Best Festival” nominated years, The Key to Happiness.

As the largest European festival this side of the Atlantic, and the first to create the minimum age of +21, TomorrowWorld is going to be an experience that you will want to add to your list. A kingdom of magic, music, and mayhem, TomorrowWorld will impress you beyond belief. Don’t miss out this weekend and check out Relentless Beats’ Ultimate Guide to TomorrowWorld!

STAGES

The breathtaking new designs remind us why TomorrowWorld is the USA’s premiere festival for awe-inspiring production and remarkable creative diversity. Present at this years festival will be the “Key to Happiness” stage which made its debut at Tomorrowland in Belgium in 2014. It has taken SFX and astonishing two years to transport the massive stage overseas to Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, but it has finally arrived and is ready for you to feast your eyes on its jaw-dropping magnificence. Each of these designs could be considered a mainstage in and of themselves, so with that said, be prepared to get lost in the music at whichever stage you find yourself and don’t be surprised if you look to the decks and see an artist you’ve never heard of where you expected to see Hardwell.

Dreamville

by: Nicole Petriw

As one enters the World of Tomorrow, hidden within the woods of Chattahoochee Hills, they’re welcomed to DreamVille. Dreamville is the lively town that the people of tomorrow come home to after a long eventful day at the festival that keeps you immersed in the TomorrowWorld experience from the second you get there until you’re packing up your stuff on Monday morning. This little city has everything you could ever need for festival camping and so much more! Apart from the many different options you have for camping, there is also a marketplace, multiple community centers, activities, and their very own welcoming party called “The Gathering.” DreamVille offers you a beautiful surrounding with multiple amenities to recharge for another day at the festival including yoga, bass bodies workouts, CYC spinning, pilates, zumba and meditation sessions. Some of the options available for fun include speed dating, dance-off competitions, lip sync battles, as well as district house game rentals that you can bring back to your camp to play.

Dreamville

Camping Options:

As far as festival camping goes, TomorrowWorld offers a multitude of options for anyone from do-it-yourselfers to the most bougie of choices. The first option, Magnificent Green Camping, is the most economical choice and also allows you to bring your own tent, camping gear, and whatever else you may need for your stay. If you are traveling from out of state and can’t drive up with your gear, don’t fret. They also sell $99 do-it-yourself tents, and you can buy everything else you’ll need from the Camping Store at the Marketplace.

Easy Tent

For those who don’t want to spend time setting up their campground, TomorrowWorld offers something truly unique to festival camping – Easy Tents that provide you with air mattresses, sleeping bags, and a night light so that there is no need to bring your own camping supplies. Once you check in at the Easy Tent Lobby you can simply drop your bags at your pre-built tent and go enjoy the surprises Dreamville and TomorrowWorld have to offer.

As far as the bougier options go, TomorrowWorld has some excellent options that will make you forget that you’re even camping! All of these options will give you access to upgraded DreamVille facilities and The Montagoe Tent. The Montagoe tent will have delicious catering available as well as a cozy bar, a restaurant, massages and more. The first bougie option is the oversized safari style Dream Lodges. This ticket option will give you and one other person your own beds with comfortable mattresses, a spacious terrace with its own table and chairs, a locker, extra storage space for your belonging, and even electricity to charge up your phones! The second option is the DreamVille Cabanas. Each cabana has electricity and can be locked up to keep your belongings safe as you venture around. They also come with two beds with pillows and soft comfy duvets to cuddle up in after a long day and night of dancing. You’ll also be able to relax in your cozy outdoor furniture as the 24-hour reception staff takes care of you during your stay.

TomorrowWorld Manor

The last bougie option is by far the most luxurious accommodations available at DreamVille that I can only dream to have for myself one day – the TomorrowWorld Manors. Each Manor can fit up to 12 people and brings you all the comforts of a private hotel suite while still staying within the DreamVille community. Upon your arrival, each of you will be greeted with a glass of champagne before you’re escorted to your own private Manor. Once you get to your “campgrounds,” you’ll surely make everyone else jealous when they see that you have a private tour bus for sleeping, a private trailer with a bathroom and shower, a terrace lounge area with outdoor furniture, a stocked bar and Jacuzzi, all enclosed by a fenced perimeter so you can maintain your privacy. If you and 11 of your closest friends have an extra $42,500 lying around, this is what you’ll want to be spending your money on. These packages, as well as the rest, all come with enough tickets for everyone in your camp.

MAP

The stages at TomorrowWorld are more spread out than the average music festival so keep that in mind while mapping out your trip. Also, note the phone charging stations, food and bar locations, and ATMs. Some special items to point out include Bud Light’s Garden of Whatever and The Pool Unleashed by T-Mobile, as well as the Belgian Beer Cafe, undoubtedly to complement the festivals roots.

Although TomorrowWorld has come to be known for its fantastical and majestic theme, this year’s festival is set to throw in a little flare of astronomy thanks to the help of the cosmos. It would appear that on Sunday, September 27th, a total lunar eclipse will engulf the night sky during the sets of artists like Porter Robinson and Armin Van Buuren. This will be the final lunar eclipse in the 2014-2015 tetrad (tetrad meaning: a group of four). The previous three lunar eclipses of the 2014-2015 tetrad occurred in April 2014, October 2014, and April 2015. Lucky for all of us TomorrowWorld attendees, this eclipse will not be following the April/October trend. The next tetrad can be expected in 2018-2019 when on the first eclipse happens on January 31st, 2018.

Known as a blood moon, the lunar eclipse means something different to each various culture. Some even believe that it is a sign of the apocalypse. But in this situation, I think that it signifies a very special and incredible moment that will forever remain in the memories of festival-goers as one of the biggest festivals in America closes with the most transcending headliners, all while mother nature does its work to create an event of celestial proportions. Far from the apocalypse, prepare your mind, body, and spirit for a truly magical moment with Armin, Porter, and your fellow attendees. This one is going to be epic.

And there you have it folks! TomorrowWorld opens at 12pm each day and closes at 1am on Friday and Saturday, and closes at Midnight on Sunday. Dreamville will be open to campers beginning Thursday and will close on Monday afternoon. Hope you all have a magical journey to Melodia!
